At the University of Luxembourg, the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication as well as the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance offer special ICT-related Bachelor and Master Degrees, for example an academic Bachelor in Science and Engineering in the field of Telecommunications, a Bachelor and Master in Computer Science, or more recently, a Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The lingual and cultural diversity is a result of, one the one hand, the country’s central geographical position and, on the other hand, of the fact that 40% of Luxembourg residents are expatriate foreign nationals from all over Europe and around the world.
The exceptional skills of the workforce are reflected in the high productivity per person employed; Luxembourg clearly outranks its EU partners by ranking 1st with 167 points (OECD, “Estimates of labour productivity levels”, Jan. 2010).
