Today, SES is one of the world’s leading telecommunications satellite operators. With a global fleet of 52 satellites and six further spacecraft under construction (Status December 2012) , SES provides worldwide connectivity and covers an area that is home to 99% of the world’s population.
SES distributes more than 5,200 TV channels (of which 1,400 in HD) of leading broadcasters around the world, to audiences of more than 258 million homes worldwide.
SES provides corporate customers with secure networks and supports telecommunications operators with backhaul solutions, helps deliver broadband access to rural areas and establishes maritime communications and aeronautical connectivity.
SES also provides secure communication links to government agencies and institutions, from military and diplomatic communications to disaster relief and digital inclusion programmes.
SES’ headquarters are located in the Château de Betzdorf in Luxembourg. The company has 1,200 employees spread over more than 40 offices and technical facilities around the world. SES securities are traded on NYSE Euronext Paris and on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange under the symbol SESG.
