PayPal is an e-commerce business which allows online payments in more than 55 countries. Founded in 1998, PayPal was acquired by eBay in October 2002. It serves 190 markets in 17 different currencies. Its European headquarter has been established in Luxembourg in 2007 after the Luxembourg Government granted the company a banking license for electronic services from the Luxembourg Government.
